The he said, she said regarding St James the Great Newport Beach continues.

The Living Church has published an article on line that quotes the Revd Cindy Voorhees, former vicar of the Dio Los Angeles mission St Gregory the Great in Newport Beach CA saying that the Rt Revd J Jon Bruno offered them $1 million to drop the charges against him. Diocesan Canon for Communications, Bob Williams, says that Bishop Bruno was again making the same offer he made a number of months ago. Mr Williams says that it was not offered in return for the former congregants dropping their presentment.

It was 65 years ago yesterday, 1 OCT 1950, that the first Peanuts comic strips ran in seven US newspapers. In commemoration, the US Postmaster General was at the Charles M Shultz Museum in Santa Rosa CA yesterday to officially dedicate the release of 10 new Christmas US postage stamps commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the television debut of A Charlie Brown Christmas this 9 DEC 2015.
