A refugee church in Calais is demolished by French authorities!

Last AUG we reported a story about refugees in a squalid camp in Calais, France. We also mentioned and pictured a small church erected and used by refugee Christians from Africa. In OCT a Christian makeshift church was erected serving mostly Middle Eastern Christians. Last Monday the local French authorities bulldozed the more recent church and also a mosque.

Next Friday +Francis is going to Mexico, but he has a layover in Cuba!

Next Friday, 12 FEB, Pope Francis is flying to Mexico City to begin a 6 day visit to Mexico. But on his plane is making about a 2 hour layover at the airport in Havana, Cuba. The Pope will meet in an historic face-to-face with the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, +Kirill.

More good news is that God loves us enough to forgive us even before we ask for it. The confession and prayers for forgiveness aren’t for God, they’re for us, as funny as that sounds.
