It’s as if Jesus is saying, “Do you see this little kid, who could die at any minute and who is in constant need of valuable resources? This child is more deserving of heaven than anyone else!” It’s not about how big and important we are here on earth; it’s about how much God loves us in spite of the value assigned to us by society.
Everyone’s home is in God.
We need not know it
in order for it to be true.
God does not need to be believed in.
But it can sound so sappy.
And yet sometimes
we humans want a home.
God is like the lover who just can’t see your point of view.
