Interviewing the retiring Custodian of the Standard Book of Common Prayer

A little known office in the Episcopal Church is the Custodian of the Standard Book of Common Prayer. The most recent Custodian, the 8th Custodian of the Standard Book of Common Prayer, the Revd Canon Gregory M Howe, has recently retired from his position. This is an interview with the Revd Howe  conducted recently by the folks who conduct The Collect Call at the Acts 8 Moment.

Back in 2012, the Revd Howe also introduced himself and his responsibilities with a blog post at A Year With The BCP. There is a list of the full line of custodians available on the Wikipedia.

At the end of the interview, the folks at The Collect Call add an addendum to the recording and announce that the Presiding Bishop has appointed the 9th Custodian of the Book of Common Prayer, the Rev. Juan Cabrero Oliver.
