Drought has revealed a 450-year old Mexican church in Chiapas, bringing visitors who want to see the ancient structure.
Although the images are stunning, it can’t be good news for a region of Mexico which has suffered greatly over the last twenty years; local farmers have struggled to compete with imported produce.
The church was built in expectation of a population boom that never occurred, later abandoned after plague, and was finally submerged when an artificial dam turned the area into a reservoir.
