What do you See?

“If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” (Matthew 6:22)

What do you see?

Where do you direct your gaze?

Are your eyes always moving?

Looking for some place to land?

Something to see?

Something to focus on?

Do your eyes settle on the computer or phone more times than you’d like to count?

Do your eyes focus on the next thing in your planner?

Do your eyes settle on the mess and clutter?

Do your eyes only see what’s wrong?

Take a moment to shift your gaze.

To look at what’s directly in front of you.

See the people next to you.

Look at your neighbors.

Set your eyes on one thing at a time.

Let the light embrace you.

Let the light call you forward.

Open your eyes to see: the sparkle of snow, the colors of a sunset, a smile, the way the light falls on the floor, the first signs of new life, hands reaching out for a hug, crayons cascading over paper, a pile of books waiting to be read.

Look ahead.

Look up.

Look and see.

Look all around you.

Look to the light.

It’s ready to embrace you.

To fill you with hope.

To give you love.

To inspire you.

To transform the world before your eyes.
