A Prayer for Entering the World Again
If you’re uncertain how to move forward
if you’re unsure of how to be and who to see
if you’re weary of the long days of isolation
if you’re tired and worn out
if you’re eager for hugs and handshakes
if you’re excited to explore and travel —
this prayer is for you.
May you be gentle with yourself
tread lightly if needed
trust the small movements taken in hope
and lean into the One who walks with you.
May you be gentle with others
take time to listen
breathe deeply
take a posture of compassion
and lean into the One who walks with you.
May you be gentle with the world
celebrate the consistency in the changing of seasons
listen for the sounds of spring’s renewal
splash in a river’s water
and lean into the One who walks with you.
As you move forward,
may the God of infinite love
and boundless grace
bless you and keep you
now and forever.
