A joyful noise on a Sunday morning

Dana Massing of the Erie Times News profiles the choir of the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Voices, young and old, raised in song, give glory to God.

“Hallelujah,” they sing. “Praise the Lord.”

Accompanied by organs or pianos, even guitars and drums, singers in local churches use their vocal gifts to worship God and enhance services for people in the pews.

“It’s a really wonderful and exciting way to be able to praise God with the talents he’s given all of us,” said Libby Federici, 15, a member of the Children’s Choir at Erie’s Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul.
