While the budget of the Episcopal Church has been presented, it hasn’t yet been approved by either house. The deputies are about to start considering it now (11:30). The bishops will take it up within the next two days.
The deputies will elect a vice president.
The bishops may return to the complex legislation being developed that would give a diocese a means of ending its relationship with a difficult or ineffective bishop.
The bishops voted earlier in convention to extend the date by which dioceses must comply with the denominational health plan until 2015. That legislation has yet to come before the deputies.
The big, emotion-generating legislation has passed both houses, but we aren’t done yet.
