Removing the land mines from the traditional site of Jesus’ baptism

For years no one could visit the traditional site of the baptism of Jesus. And no one could visit any of the various Christian sect’s churches which over the years had sprung up around the site. The entire area was scattered with land mines in 1967 as an aftermath of the Six Day War. The Halo Trust has secured the permission of both Israel and the Palestinian Authority, in addition to each of the Christian sects with an abandoned church in the area, to remove the mines.

Anglican research scholars sought for opportunities in Japan

In 1977 the Anglican-Episcopal Church of Japan established the Bishop Williams Memorial Fund. The Memorial Fund was established to support visiting lecturers and research scholars. The Fund is presently accepting applications for an 18 month opportunity to study Japanese and do Anglican research in Japan.

Love Must Prevail

Three days after the early Sunday morning Orlando massacre, musicians, singers, actors, producers and technicians who are part of the Broadway community, gathered in Avatar Studios to do what artists do best in response to a crisis, they made a record to raise money. Broadway for Orlando has recorded What the World Needs Now Is Love. The song was written in 1965 by Burt Bacharach & Hal David. Time, space and talent was volunteered to create the recording and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the LGBT Center of Central Florida.
