Trinity Church in Copley Square is still closed under orders of the Boston Police Department in the wake of Monday’s Marathon bomb attack, but the church will hold a Prayers for Peace service tonight at 6 p.m. at the corner of Berkeley and Boylston Streets. The church’s Web site invites the public to “Gather Strength and Share Hope:”
We may not be able to get into our building, but that needn’t stop us from worshipping together. With the choir and choristers, we will gather together near the site of the make-shift Marathon shrine to sing, pray, gather strength from our community, and share hope with our neighbors. Please join us!
Trinity’s congregation had hoped to be able to open their doors by this evening. Let’s pray that they will be able to gather inside the church for worship on Sunday.
