The members of Trinity Wall Street and the citizens of New York City gathered with government dignitaries to celebrate the 250th anniversary of St Paul’s Chapel on the day marking 250 years since the chapel opened. A US senator, the governor of New York, the Mayor of NYC, the President of the Lower Manhattan burrow all sent or personally brought proclamations regarding St Paul’s and its historic ministry of 250 years to the city of New York. In their own way, each of the proclamations designated 30 OCT as a day lifting & honoring St Paul’s Chapel.

Church in Wales elects first female bishop

After a week of closed meetings at St Davids Cathedral, the Archbishop of Wales, Dr Barry Morgan announced that the Electoral College had chosen Canon Joanna Penberthy as the 129th Bishop of St Davids. Canon Penberthy was one of the first women to be ordained as a priest in Wales in 1997 and is currently Rector of Glan Ithon, in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon in Llandrindod Wells.

Called to Common Mission still bearing fruit

A year ago, Church of the Nativity Episcopal And Holy Comforter Lutheran in Baltimore, MD began worshiping together as the Churches of the Nativity and Holy Comforter. But beginning next Sunday, they will become the singular Church of the Nativity and Holy Comforter after celebrating a year of worshiping together. The congregations’ members, jokingly refer to themselves as “Lutherpalians.”
