Christian music in recession

USAToday reports:

The recession is slamming the arts (no news here) but Christianity Today has a great look at how Christian musicians are hanging in, even one who sometimes gets paid in barter.


Concerts are fewer and smaller. Radio play is shrinking and bookings at churches pay less than ever. Christian recorded music is down 5% from last years sales: “Flat is the new up,” a merchandiser says.
