After armed robbery Sudanese head appeals: “Help us build a wall around our school”

A Sudanese headmaster has made an urgent appeal for help after armed thugs broke in to his diocesan school and left a security guard for dead.
Philip Gasim Logun plans to erect a permanent wall around Juba Diocesan Model Secondary School after six armed thieves raided the building school in the early hours of 23 June. They brutally assaulted the security guard and then stole all the electrical equipment.
Rebecca Coleman the Archbishop of Sudan’s International Co-ordinator who visited the school on the day the incident took place said Mr Logun was visibly shaken but was determined to prevent it happening again.

“This incident shows that the nature of criminal activity has grown more sinister in Juba, particularly if individuals are willing to steal from a secondary school. It is now of the utmost importance to construct a more permanent fence, ideally a concrete wall to stop such incidents from happening again.”
