As coronavirus cases surge statewide and Gov. Ron DeSantis has barred public school districts from requiring masks, private schools are free to make their own decisions on mandates.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, which has 800 students in preschool through 12th grade, is the only reported Brevard County private school to have a mask requirement this year. Catholic schools are strongly recommending but not requiring the use of masks.
