Income inequality: how it happened, what it costs, how to fix it

The Economic Policy Institute has come up with a handy click-thru animation on income inequality–how it happened, what it costs you personally, and how to fix it.

One of the more eye-opening pages on the site debunks the myth that effects of inequality in the United States are ameliorated by economic mobility. The U. S. is less economically mobile than most of its peer countries, and mobility has not increased in the decades in which inequality has soared.

How should the church respond to the issue of income inequality?
