Is your church helping folks prepare for winter?

St Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Buffalo, under interim dean Rev. Will Mebane, has created a “Garden of Warmth” for people who need gloves, hats, and other cold-weather gear. St Paul’s was also in the news earlier this year when offerings began showing up at their installation of a homeless Jesus sculpture. Their Garden of Warmth is set up behind the sculpture, and is free for visitors to walk through and take the items we need.

TWCNews reported on the effort: you can see the video and read a transcript on their site.

What is your church doing to help prepare folks for the winter ahead? Do you partner with outside groups, or host resources locally?
