Ever since the heavy doses of disappointment and anger over process in last summer’s Jeffrey John debacle, our keyboard fingers get itchy every time an announcement is made about an opening for a bishop’s spot in the CoE. So forgive this small indulgence.
Anyhow: it looks like the chair in Winchester will be unoccupied as of May 7, 2011 – at least as far as its current occupant, The Right Reverend Michael Scott-Joynt, is concerned. Thinking Anglican’s Peter Owen reports: “Congregations and parishes in the diocese are being informed today, and an announcement on the diocesan website is expected later this week.”
