The Rt Rev Libby Lane preached her first sermon as Bishop on Sunday, the same day as International Women’s Day. Nearly 2,000 were in attendance at the installation, held at Chester Cathedral.
Anglican News has a write-up, with quotes, and more photos. Dean of Chester, Gordon McPhate, notes that men and women benefit from her installation.
From the article:
The Dean of Chester, Gordon McPhate, said: “We were honoured to welcome the Bishop of Stockport and her supporters to the installation service at the cathedral. It was a day of worship and celebration – for men and women alike – as a new chapter was created in the Church of England.”
