Sports-crazed Americans may not have been looking for a way to follow the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament while supporting the Millennium Development Goals, but that didn’t stop the Rev. Mike Kinman of Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation from developing one.
As Mike explained in a recent email:
Selection Sunday is less than a week away and I’m hoping you can help spread the word about a way to raise money for your favorite nonprofit working on the MDGs and have fun with the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the same time.
It’s called “March Gladness” …
It’s an NCAA tournament pool — but for every bracket you fill out, you put $10 into the pot and designate which nonprofit benefiting the Millennium Development Goals you are playing for. At the end of the tournament, the people whose brackets were the best spit the pot for their nonprofits. For more details go to our March Gladness page at
http://www.e4gr.org/marchgladness.html
It’s easy, it’s fun … and the more people who play, the more $$ goes to some great nonprofits.
There are two ways to enter:
*Go to our March Gladness webpage at
http://www.e4gr.org/marchgladness.html and follow the instructions.
*Go to our Facebook Cause at
http://apps.facebook.com/causes/234514?m=3f1cca43 and follow the instructions.
It’s only $10 per bracket (max. 5 brackets) … it’s a lot of fun … and it’s all for great causes. So please join up and circulate this to as many people as possible. If we get a ton of people playing we could raise some really nice money for some really great organizations.
