Nature’s Heartbeat

Nature’s Heartbeat

There’s a lesson found in the soft ripples of water

studying the shapes and contours of rocks

skipping stones

feeling sand squish through toes

the eagle’s steady gaze

the migration of pelicans

a sky of blazing light

the rustle of forest leaves

a fire’s crackle

the hum of insects

a fish’s splash

the turn of colors

the sun’s warmth

a hike in the forest.

There’s a lesson found in every moment spent outdoors
wild and free
slowly
bringing souls in tune with nature’s heartbeat.
