Jake Dell named Episcopal Church Office of Communication

Advertising and Marketing Senior Manager

[May 10, 2011] Jake Dell has been named Episcopal Church Office of Communication Advertising and Marketing Senior Manager.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Communications team at the Episcopal Church,” Dell said. “Coming to this job from the advertising world as well as being a transitional deacon gives me a unique perspective. I’m eager to promote the products and services that dioceses and parishes can use to reach new audiences with the Gospel message.”

Dell will be responsible for marketing the advertising opportunities on the Episcopal News Service site and upcoming mobile apps, as well as managing the affordable website program for dioceses and congregations, and uncovering new sources of ad revenue for other digital offerings.

“We’re planning to focus on social media strategies and affordable website solutions and to provide training and insight on how to engage the world through the digital channel,” Dell noted. “Everywhere I go in this church I hear such amazing stories – the kind of stories any major brand would love to be able to say its consumers are sharing. We need to tap this passion. It’s not hard and when you tell your story online, it’s very affordable and has tremendous reach.”

His previous work experience includes as Vice President of Marketing and Development at Studio One Networks in New York City; and as a marketing and project consultant to various religious and educational institutions, conference centers and retail businesses.

A graduate of Yale University and Nashotah House Theological Seminary, Dell is an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church
