Poynter’s 2nd “Covering Guns” training underway

The Poynter Institute, in a partnership with The University of Maryland, is currently providing a training session for journalists called “Covering Guns”:

This workshop has a simple goal: to improve the accuracy and depth of coverage of America’s gun debate, without deference to any political agenda or special interests. Our goal is to help journalists learn more about guns and gun laws through practical, hands-on experience and expert teaching.

Those interested in hearing some of the debate can check in on Twitter #coveringguns

A recap of their first workshop, held in Chicago this past April, can be found here on Poynter’s website.
