I miss the dark of night, where no light is present except the sky
Revealing the deep beauty of darkness, a communion of soul
Let loose from its bounds of earth, to wander the stars free
An invitation to lose yourself in the depths of anonymity, where
No one will see nor does it matter if they do, because you walk
An unknown path sprinkled by the stars of the night, spilled beyond
The edge and released in the fullness of old thoughts, stories
Let go into the unknown round a fire, told to tell the truth of life
The sacred running through because we are always in the dark
When the whisper of the spirit becomes present in the tears
Drawn from the dark of night itself and into our very soul discovered
Rounded out by the touch of tenderness in fear showing our loss
