Sunday Social Hour

In the spirit of “Easter Is 50 Days,” we’re happy to report that last week’s solicitation for readers to share their favorite Easter traditions was a rousing success. From hot cross buns to lilies to Easter Egg hunts to bow-ties to favorite Eastertide hymns, many traditions are ones we all know and love.

But some of the ones that stood out:

* Fencing

* A long afternoon nap

* Easter bunny cakes with rabbit ears, and lamb cakes made with coconut wool (If anyone has a how-to on these, I think our readers will appreciate it)

* Dr. Who (Thanks for that idea, Will–any particular Doctor? )

* The “He Is Risen” wake up call

* Hidden easter baskets, with jelly bean trails to locate them

* First picnic of the year

And my personal favorite, from Elizabeth A. B. Tesi: “My hubby and I make each other Easter baskets. You are never too old for an Easter basket.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, we got a note from @StLydias in New York to check them out, so we did, and you should too.
