Not much in the way of comments this week, but we do appreciate the retweets on Twitter and the shares on Facebook.
The comments to Mark Sisk’s letter about the Islamic Center in New York City often revolved around folks who disagreed with it sharply, but one comment on FB stood out. Allen Oh noted: “We’ve heard a lot of talk from political types on property rights and First Amendment rights on the one side, and ‘common decency’ and ‘sensitivity’ on the other. We have not yet heard much on why building the Islamic cultural center is actually a *good* thing, and why we as Christians should support the project. Thank you, Bishop Sisk, for commenting on the ‘wisdom” of the project, as Pres. Obama would put it”–and which Pres. Obama didn’t want to do.
