Speaking to the Soul: Ascension
… take heart. Christ’s final promise caresses us, transforming the empty, leaden air. ”I am with you always,” he says, “to the end of the age.”

Here’s the good news: We don’t have to live like that. One sacrifice has been made, once for all. The word became flesh, it dwelt among us, and in solidarity with humanity, Jesus took on the cosmic violence that had been our inheritance.

Who in your life has named you? What is your authentic name? What does this name give you the courage to take on? What does it allow you to let go of? How has it transfigured you?
Be patient? How long must people be patient for there to be equality, justice, and an ability, no, a right to be all that they can be?
