That letter from Mr. Nye, Provincial Secretary of the Church of England and General Secretary of the Archbishops’ Council. Who did he consult over its contents? A spokesperson for the Church of England contradicts Mr Nye’s letter. Nye’s letter said he consulted with staff. The spokesperson says he consulted with ABC, ABY and +Coventry.

“The letter [from William Nye, Secretary General of the Archbishops’ Council in the Church of England] refers to a majority belief in the Church of England that the only legitimate locus for sexual relationships is within heterosexual marriage.
