More justice less Jason

Jason’s role is to preserve that order. In a culture that will only give up its moral judgment when you pry it from its cold dead fingers, the use of conservative religion as a blunt weapon against sex education in public schools, reproductive choice for women and families, or even drug legalization, seems to me to embody that same spirit of death and oppression that the demented killer Jason Voorhees represents.

The Magazine: Selma… “Negotiate. Demonstrate. Resist.”

Keep in mind this film is not a documentary and what it reminds us is very timely. Not only is it released near the national holiday set aside to remember Dr. King, but current national headlines speak of issues of race and use/abuse of power that are yet to be addressed in our country. Perhaps God will bring together other gifted leaders to shed light on present injustice?
