All the people I meet, every day, are temples. It is our true nature to be receptacles of the living breath of God. The Holy Spirit roosts in each one of us, speaks the language of each one of us, shares the sorrows, terrors and joys of each one of us
It is all too easy to look at what is right in front of us and believe that there’s nothing else. But, we might learn more about what’s really valuable by examining what we don’t see, never noticed, or what has come and gone.
We ourselves are icons – temples pointing toward God. Quirky and mixed up as we are, we still belong to the body of Christ, and God will use us whenever God can.
We cannot operate out of fear, but neither can we operate out of complacency. When Jesus comes back he is not going to compliment the pretty stones and monuments, the nice gated communities, the well-run businesses, and the lavish lifestyles of many of his followers.
