The Church in Wales invites all the baptized to Holy Communion

At the recent meeting of the Governing Body of the Church in Wales, the Bench of Bishops in Wales distributed a letter to the representatives present. In the letter the bishops stated that starting with the first Sunday in Advent, anyone who has been baptized, regardless of their age or whether they have received confirmation, is welcome to receive communion in the parishes of the Church in Wales.

The Church of England & the Church in Wales aren’t making many converts

The Church Times online has posted a story regarding Dr Stephen Bullivant’s report, Contemporary Catholicism in England and Wales. The research showed very similar results for both Roman Catholics and Anglicans in England & Wales, that the membership of both denominations is almost entirely made of folks born & reared in the church.

The wife of the Most Revd Dr Barry Morgan, the Primate of the Church in Wales and the Bishop of Llandaff, Hilary Morgan, passed away in her home Friday, 15 JAN 2016.

Same gender marriage not likely in the Church in Wales

The Governing Body of the Church in Wales sat for a vote on same gender marriage on Thursday, 1 SEP 2015. The Body voted by a majority in favor of same gender marriage. However, the majorities in each section of the Body were less than the required 2/3s majority needed to change canon law.
