Information about the funeral for the Rev. Terry Star and memorial funds set up in his name.
Deacon Terry Star’s funeral will be held on Monday, March 10 at St. James’ Church in Cannon Ball at 10:00 a.m. Clergy are invited to vest with white or festal stoles. A Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at St. James’ Church in Cannon Ball. Burial will be at St. Gabriel’s Camp on Standing Rock.
Two funds are being established for Terry Star. One is to cover funeral and final expenses. The other is to create a memorial in his name.
The plans for a memorial involves the church camp where he received training and later served as chaplain and sometimes director. It is also where the Diocese of North Dakota does training for locally ordained priests. The fund will be used for the upkeep and use of the camp in Terry’s name.
