Update on the Primate of Mexico

Last week we reported that the Primate of la Iglesia Anglicana de México (the Anglican Church of Mexico), el Reverendisimo Francisco Moreno, had recently had surgery for gastric discomfort. He has now had staples and a drain removed. He has also been given nutritional instruction along with a diet designed to help him gain weight and stimulate his intestinal activity.

While +Francisco is recuperating, he is being updated regarding the both the status of the national church, as well as, his diocese, la Diócesis del Norte (the Diocese of the North). In January his physicians will evaluate and make recommendation as to whether he should attend the Primates’ Meeting in England, called by Archbishop of Canterbury, +Justin Welby.

This report is from the latter part of this article from the Anglican Communion News Service.
