Love is a Power

Media outlets all over the world have been abuzz over Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s sermon at the royal wedding this morning of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The PB offered a sermon grounded in the redemptive power of love that drew heavily on the black experience.  Curry began and ended his address by quoting Martin Luther King Jr., and spent time on the legacy of slavery in between, quoting from the hymn “There is a Balm in Gilead.”

If you missed it, here it is.  You can check here for a full transcript. ALL 13 plus minutes of sermon video is here. And the Order of Service, here.
