At this moment it is anyone’s guess how the decision of the Primates’ Meeting will affect the respective TEC members who are members of the various AC bodies. The Primates’ Meeting has no constitutional authority to enforce its decisions. The ACC is the only constitutional entity of the AC.

Letter to the Archbishops of the Church of England ahead of Primates’ Meeting

Over 100 Senior Anglicans, including the Dean of St Paul’s, have signed an open letter to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York calling on the Church of England to repent of its ‘second class citizen’ treatment of Christians over issues of sexuality. The letter, signed by a range of senior church figures including Cathedral Deans, retired bishops and well-known lay figures (including leading parliamentary figures and university academics), has been sent to the Archbishops ahead of a pivotal meeting of worldwide Anglican Leaders which begins in Canterbury on Monday.

Just whose building is it?

The area near the city of Christchurch New Zealand suffered a 7.1 earthquake on 4 SEP 2010 at 4:10 am. Again on 12 FEB 2011 at 12:51 pm the area around Christchurch experienced a 6.3 earthquake. One iconic building that suffered damage in the first quake and then more so in the second quake, was Christ Church Cathedral, the cathedral church of the Diocese of Christchurch, which sat on Cathedral Square in the heart of the city.
