Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander star in ‘The Light Between Oceans’ to be released widely on Friday (September 2). We had the pleasure of attending a preview screening of the film and want to give you a “heads up” before Friday so you can plan to see it this weekend.
This film, set in the dramatic scenery of coastal New Zealand, is based upon M.L. Stedman’s 2012 bestseller of the same name. In a remote location along the coast a couple, living in and staffing a lighthouse, discover a baby and a dead body in a boat bobbing in the ocean in front of the lighthouse. The story that ensues is one of moral choice, love, longing, remorse, constraint and freedom. Directed by Derek Cianfrance and produced by DreamWorks.
