Here is our weekly look at just some of the good stuff going on in The Episcopal Church:

St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brockton, Mass., is doing its neighbors a favor by tearing down an abandoned building and planning to put up some affordable housing.

Bishop Prince Singh and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester are leading an interfaith effort to tackle poverty, racism, violence and deficiencies in the education system in their city. St. Luke and St. Simon Cyrene Church, home of our old friend the Rev. Michael Hopkins, has taken the lead.

A wide-ranging effort to send medical supplies to Haiti has grown from the work of Ascension Episcopal Church in Pueblo, Col.

The Rev. Andy Keyse and Trinity Church in Florence, Ala., are among those taking a long look at their environmental stewardship.

The Rev. Mike Lumpkin of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Summerville, S. C., doubles as a chaplain to the fire department.

And today, St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Round Rock , Tex., is sponsoring its fourth annual motorcycle run to benefit its New Beginnings ministry, which works with the recently divorced.
