Gays? I don’t see any gay people here.

The Changing Attitude blog reports that the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs reported to the UN periodic review of human rights in Geneva on February 9, 2009 that they know of no gay and lesbian groups in Nigeria and therefore see no reason to protect their rights. ABC hires a Secretary for Anglican Communion Affairs

Canon Joanna Udal has been serving in the Sudan as Assistant to the Archbishop of the Sudan, an appointment made jointly through the Church Mission Society and Lambeth Palace. One responsibility of her new position is maintaining a broad overview of Anglican Communion affairs, including Communion-wide processes (such as the Covenant process) and an appreciation of the particular socio-political context and mission-challenges of individual churches and provinces.
