Bishop of Pittsburgh issues invitations to GAFCON

Duncan’s invitation, dated January 6 and addressed to ‘all bishops of the common cause partnership,’ was issued on behalf of six Anglican Primates, several bishops — some of whom are former Episcopalians — and two lay canons. The bishops invited are part of what is planned on being an event that will gather clergy and laity, as well. The total attendance is being limited to 1000 people.

Presiding Bishop acts to formally inhibit Bishop Schofield

Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori on January 11 inhibited Diocese of San Joaquin Bishop John-David Schofield. Church moves to reconstitute the Diocese of San Joaquin

Canon Robert Moore will be among those offering support and encouragement at a January 26 gathering in Fresno planned for continuing Episcopalians. Also present there will be House of Deputies President Bonnie Anderson, and representatives of Remain Episcopal. Canon Moore was appointed to serve in an interim pastoral capacity in the region by the Presiding Bishop.
