This is what I love about the dark…
“In the dark I’m given the chance to rely on my other senses: feeling the coolness of the air, listening for an owl’s screech, the scent of burning leaves, and the taste of hot tea…”
“In the dark I’m given the chance to rely on my other senses: feeling the coolness of the air, listening for an owl’s screech, the scent of burning leaves, and the taste of hot tea…”
“Here is what I notice…
a stop sign
the turn of my head
to witness God’s blazing glory.”
“In this month and the ones to come
give us your presence
in the blazing beauty of your creation.”
“…wild and free
slowly
bringing souls in tune with nature’s heartbeat.”
Squatting down on my knees, I set my eyes right below me. I can’t do everything, the garden will still be out of control, there will always be weeds to pull, but right now, I can start.
“Help me, God, to speak with goodness.”
“Show your children that time with pen, paper, and books is never wasted.”
I hear the lapping of waves against the rocks and the stillness invites me closer with her words: All will be well, all will be well, all manner of things will be well.
“The Lord walks with us:
in our streets, along country roads,
in our classrooms, down hallways,
on playgrounds, and on the fields.”
“Bless these pencils to write words of hope and love
bless these erasers as they remind us what it is to forgive and be forgiven
bless these papers and notebooks to be filled with stories, dreams, and unlimited potential…”
