Bishop of Pittsburgh issues invitations to GAFCON

Duncan’s invitation, dated January 6 and addressed to ‘all bishops of the common cause partnership,’ was issued on behalf of six Anglican Primates, several bishops — some of whom are former Episcopalians — and two lay canons. The bishops invited are part of what is planned on being an event that will gather clergy and laity, as well. The total attendance is being limited to 1000 people.

In an article headlined, “Clergy accused of bias in crisis,” The Sunday Nation of Nairobi reports “pastors from various churches said it was shameful that foreign clerics, such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, have had to come to reconcile Kenyan leaders as local bishops kept mum or took sides.”
